Job Summary
Deliver medications to residents as prescribed, using Six Rights of Medication Administration; monitor and report adverse drug reactions or medication side effects; record effectiveness of medications; store and safeguard medications per facility policies and regulations; monitor medications for accountability across shifts; obtain and record vital signs during administration; collaborate with nurses to ensure safe, accurate medication delivery for senior living residents.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Successful completion of the Certified Medication Aide course
- Experience: One year as Residential Care Aide or certified aide
- Skills/Abilities: Must have good communication, comprehension, and interpersonal skills; ability to speak, read, write and understand English
