Job Summary
PRN Certified Medical Assistant at Campus Health and Events in multiple Georgia campuses. Responsibilities include rooming patients, taking vital signs, performing medication reconciliation, reviewing medical history and health maintenance, conducting screenings (depression, suicide, falls, social drivers of health), assisting providers with procedures, venipuncture, specimen collection/labeling, lab orders, CLIA-waived tests, and safe administration of medications and vaccines. Cross-trained to support clinic practice within MA scope; emphasizes effective communication, teamwork, patient safety, and age-appropriate care. Requires completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or qualifying military clinical training and current BLS certification; position supports part-time, with varying site schedules (8AM-5PM or 9AM-6PM) across sites.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or structured military clinical training per DD214 in lieu of a formal MA program/EMT
- BLS certification (AHA) or equivalent depending on division
- Ability to perform routine and complex technical MA tasks within scope of practice
- Proficient computer skills and familiarity with electronic medical records systems
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Must demonstrate knowledge of growth and development across the lifespan and age-specific patient care
