Job Summary
PRN Registered Nurse on Medical 7W at Mercy Hospital South (St. Louis, MO). Unit cares for adults with cellulitis, pneumonia, UTIs, chest pain, GI issues, COPD ex, and stable COVID patients; offers opportunities to build skills in cardiac rhythm interpretation, acute medical care, and fast-paced patient management. Responsibilities include applying the nursing process, coordinating patient care with other departments, maintaining professional accountability for care, and evaluating care effectiveness. Requires RN licensure in Missouri (or compact licensure) and nursing education from an accredited program (ADN, Nursing Diploma, or BSN). Prolonged standing and walking, plus physical duties as needed. Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with: Associate Degree in Nursing OR Nursing Diploma OR Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri or compact licensure
- Experience: previous hospital experience preferred or required depending on unit
- Prolonged standing and walking
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed to perform nursing duties
