Job Summary
Provide scheduled leave coverage as an Athletic Trainer at the Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center in Twentynine Palms, working M-F for 40 hours per week. Deliver healthcare services to active-duty military personnel within the Sports Medicine Injury Prevention Program, ensuring athletes receive timely injury prevention and treatment support. Maintain unrestricted state licensure and complete required background checks and drug screens while adhering to strict physical demands for lifting up to 45 lbs. This PRN backfill role supports the mission of the United States Marine Corps, requiring five years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Athletic Training
- Graduate from a college or university accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE)
- Passing score from the BOC for the Athletic Trainer
- National Provider Identifier (NPI)
- Unrestricted state license/registration/certification in any of the 49 regulated states, the District of Columbia, or the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam, or the US Virgin Islands to provide health care within the scope of practice for Athletic Trainers per state practice acts
- Five years of relevant Athletic Training work experience
- Experience working with active populations (e.g. military, high school, collegiate, professional sports, performing arts, occupational health)
- U.S. Citizenship
- Ability to pass background check and drug screen
- Current physical and immunizations
- Possess and maintain the ability to lift and manipulate loads or weights up to 20 kilograms/45lbs
- Must be on the premises to perform the job
