Job Summary
Conduct scheduled leave coverage as a PRN Athletic Trainer at the Mountain Warfare Training Center in Bridgeport, CA, supporting the US Marine Corps Sports Medicine Injury Prevention Program. Manage daily diagnostic imaging and injury prevention for incoming students during smaller courses, including sniper and radio training, as well as larger month-long training events. Operate within a fast-paced, multifaceted environment requiring immediate response to changing conditions and physical demands involving loads up to 45 lbs. Perform duties on-site with M-F 40-hour work weeks, utilizing expertise to optimize military performance and readiness.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Athletic Training
- Graduate from a college or university accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE)
- Passing score from the BOC for the Athletic Trainer
- National Provider Identifier (NPI)
- Unrestricted state license/registration/certification in any of the 49 regulated states, the District of Columbia, or the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam, or the US Virgin Islands to provide health care within the scope of practice for Athletic Trainers per state practice acts
- Recent experience as a licensed Athletic Trainer
- U.S. Citizenship
- Ability to pass background check and drug screen
- Current physical and immunizations
- Possess and maintain the ability to lift and manipulate loads or weights up to 20 kilograms/45lbs
- Must be on the premises to perform the job
