Job Summary
Conduct scheduled leave coverage as an Athletic Trainer at Marine Corps Base Hawaii, Kaneohe, working Monday through Friday for 40 hours per week. Perform duties within the Sports Medicine Injury Prevention Program, including assessing and treating active-duty personnel to optimize soldier performance and readiness. Maintain unrestricted state licensure and hold a BOC passing score while adhering to a fast-paced environment where conditions change quickly throughout shifts. Requires five years of relevant experience and U.S. citizenship.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Athletic Training or similar degree
- Graduate from a college or university accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE)
- Passing score from the BOC for the Athletic Trainer
- National Provider Identifier (NPI)
- Unrestricted state license/registration/certification in any of the 49 regulated states, the District of Columbia, or the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam, or the US Virgin Islands to provide health care within the scope of practice for Athletic Trainers per state practice acts
- Five years of relevant Athletic Training work experience
- Experience working with active populations (e.g. military, high school, collegiate, professional sports, performing arts, occupational health)
- U.S. Citizenship
- Ability to pass background check and drug screen
- Current physical and immunizations
- Possess and maintain the ability to lift and manipulate loads or weights up to 20 kilograms/45lbs
- Must be on the premises to perform the job
