Job Summary
Evaluates, plans, instructs, and monitors athletic training programs to help athletes prevent injury, restore function, and reach maximum independence. Evaluates athletes’ sports-related injuries and conditions; recommends a science-based care plan including schedule, treatment programs, and related education. Utilizes assistive devices to protect athletes from injury; implements and monitors rehabilitation and reconditioning programs based on diagnosis and real-time condition; documents information from medical records, physician, and family; conducts concussion testing and other assessments as needed. Requires appropriate education level per state licensure and board certification as an Athletic Trainer.
Required Qualifications
- Must be certified as an Athletic Trainer by the Board of Certification
- Must be licensed and/or registered in state(s) of practice and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges as required by position
