Job Summary
Provide proactive injury prevention, injury care, assessment, and medical triage as defined by OSHA standards, including ergonomic postural education and escalation of medical care. Deliver ergonomic assessments based on site operations to prevent musculoskeletal conditions, while conducting health and wellness education and physical conditioning programs. Collaborate with medical and safety staff to implement occupational health initiatives and maintain accurate documentation for continuous client improvement. This PRN role supports H-E-B employees at an industrial facility in Houston, TX, focusing on injury prevention and wellness.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Athletic Training
- The required state licensure, certification, and registration that is in good standing with the state or the ability to obtain the required state licensure
- CPR/AED certification or the ability to obtain it prior to the start of employment; maintain and provide proof of current certification(s)
- The ability to stand, walk, and sit throughout the entire assigned shift
- A high degree of professionalism in both written and verbal communication
- The ability to work both independently and in a team environment, without constant supervision
- Be able to maintain confidentiality
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with databases and with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Eligibility to Work in the United States on a full-time basis without requiring current or future sponsorship for an employment visa
Desired Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of workers' compensation and OSHA regulations, preferred
