Job Summary
Monitor clients' progress in treatment by providing group and individual education, social skills training, and aftercare planning. Assess risk levels, make clinical judgments for emergency resolutions, and supervise compliance with program rules. Participate in weekly staff meetings and daily shift changes to evaluate progress and assist with treatment planning. Encourage client motivation through one-to-one meetings, intervene with behavioral concerns, and transport clients to community activities. Complete required documentation on behavior changes and treatment goal accomplishments. This role supports the milieu at Valley View's Youth Recovery Center, providing convenient, connected care to Western Colorado communities.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Must be willing to participate in certified addiction counselor training and complete Certified Addiction Specialist/Technician credential within 2 years of hire
- BLS through the American Heart Association or obtained within 30 days of hire
- At least 21 yrs of age
