PRN Admissions Registered Nurse

Review medical documentation for all admissions, complete medication reconciliation, and obtain admission orders from physicians. Facilitate emergency transfers for patients presenting with emergency medical conditions outside the facility's capabilities. Conduct assessments to determine the appropriate level of care within the facility and collaborate with medical and psychiatric personnel to ensure appropriate recommendations. Perform insurance benefit verifications, secure initial pre-authorization, and admit patients to the registration and accounting system. Monitor patient status throughout the admissions process, coordinate care for non-admitted patients, and resolve complaints while prioritizing patient safety. This role supports a new 144-bed inpatient psychiatric hospital serving adolescents, adults, and seniors.
