Job Summary
Lead fundraising activities and promote Blackstone investment solutions in Japan by conducting teach-ins and client seminars for distributors, driving strategic promotion planning with the marketing/sales team of distributors and asset-management partners to grow clients’ assets through the product lifecycle; collaborate with Blackstone’s global Private Wealth group and engage with external distributors and end-clients, leveraging deep knowledge of capital markets and alternative investments; require strong presentation and communication skills in Japanese and English, ability to navigate a dynamic entrepreneurial culture, and relevant local licenses or the ability to obtain them.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 6+ years’ experience for VP level
- 9+ years’ experience for Principal level
- Hands-on knowledge and experience within the asset management industry in Japan
- Networks with distributors or sub-advisory partners would be preferred
- Excellent presentation skills (externally for distributors and end-clients, internally involving senior management)
- Verbal and written communication skills in Japanese and English
- Demonstrate passion for capital markets, alternative investments, and retail/high-net-worth businesses in Japan
- Ability to perform at a high level in a dynamic entrepreneurial culture
- Experience in project management
- Licensing: Relevant Local Financial Product Sales Licenses (if not, need to obtain after joining)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook)
