Job Summary
Administers and services fiduciary and investment management accounts in a private wealth context, with responsibilities spanning trust administration, risk management and compliance. May include relationship management and product-specialist tasks (e.g., IRAs, Charitable/Philanthropic Accounts, ILITs, Estates). Works as part of a team to assign tasks by complexity, ensuring retention of existing accounts and adherence to governing documents and regulatory standards. Requires deep knowledge of estate settlement, taxation, fiduciary law, multi-jurisdictional considerations, trust accounting/reporting, and the ability to resolve complex problems with minimal guidance while delivering strong client service and communication. Willingness to pursue professional designations such as CTFA or CFP is noted as a preferred qualification.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- Five or more years of experience in Trust administration
- Advanced degree may be considered towards years of experience (preferred)
- Thorough knowledge of estate settlement, income, estate and multi-generational taxation and trusts (preferred)
- Working knowledge of fiduciary law, tax implications and practices in multiple jurisdictions, trust accounting/reporting, and regulatory compliance
- Ability to identify and resolve complex problems with minimal guidance
- Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Effective interpersonal, verbal and communication skills
- Well-developed customer service/relations skills
- Working towards a Professional Designation such as a CTFA or a CFP
