Job Summary
Private Wealth Director at Northern Trust responsible for cultivating and managing deep, long-term client relationships and serving as the central point of contact for complex financial needs. Works with a team of experts to develop and implement customized Wealth Management strategies across wealth structuring, credit facilities, banking, asset management, budgeting, insurance, charitable giving, wealth transfer, and tax services. Develops tailored meeting agendas and presentations, expands organic growth by strengthening existing relationships and sourcing new ones, and leverages digital solutions to enhance client experience. Requires outstanding communication, high emotional intelligence, and strong relationship-management and negotiation skills; 10–15 years of industry experience and relevant credentialing (MBA or higher preferred; CFP, CPA, CFA, CTFA, CFM preferred; Series 7/63 required).
Required Qualifications
- Degree or equivalent in a relevant field (Business Administration, Finance, Economics)
- 10 - 15 years industry experience, including significant experience in relationship management and portfolio management
- MBA or Post-Graduate Degree preferred
- CFP, CPA, CFA, CTFA, CFM certificate preferred
- Series 7 and 63 required
