Job Summary
Advise and assist clients on sophisticated estate planning, trust and estate administration, and federal and state estate and gift tax matters. Develop wealth transfer and succession strategies while conducting legal research and drafting complex planning instruments. Collaborate with attorneys across multiple offices to manage high-net-worth client engagements with high standards of quality and responsiveness. Communicate legal strategies clearly and effectively while maintaining proactive client service under pressure. Candidates must possess 4–8 years of relevant legal experience, an active bar license, and strong analytical abilities to handle competing deadlines.
Required Qualifications
- 4–8 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in private wealth, trusts and estates, or a closely related practice
- Prior law firm experience
- Demonstrated experience with sophisticated estate planning and drafting
- Experience with trust and estate administration
- Knowledge of estate and gift tax matters
- Experience with charitable planning
- An active bar license in the state corresponding to the office where the candidate will practice, or a commitment to obtain admission as soon as possible
