Job Summary
Private Pre-K Lead Teacher responsible for overall supervision and daily functions of the classroom, development of developmentally appropriate lesson plans, fostering a safe, engaging environment, and communicating with families. The role includes classroom leadership, differentiation of instruction, monitoring child progress, parent-teacher conferences, mentoring Assistant Teachers, and ensuring compliance with DECAL licensing and school policies. Required Qualifications
- Strongly Preferred: Certified teacher in Early Childhood or Birth to Five education or a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development or a related degree
- Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development (AA, AAS, AAT)
- Minimum of 2–3 years of teaching experience in a licensed early childhood education (ECE) program in a lottery funded PreK or private PreK
- Ability to pass comprehensive background check and drug screen
- CPR & First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift to 40 lbs. and engage physically with children throughout the day
