Job Summary
Private Mortgage Banker role focusing on soliciting residential mortgages from various sources, originating jumbo loans, and building relationships with affluent borrowers, realtors, builders, and financial professionals to increase Wells Fargo Home Mortgage presence. Responsibilities include analyzing low to moderately complex financial data, quoting rates and points, presenting loan options, ensuring compliance with SAFE and LO requirements, maintaining proactive client communication, staying informed on market trends, and pursuing internal training offerings to deepen product knowledge. A strong emphasis on high-touch service, client satisfaction, and adherence to regulatory guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of Private Mortgage Banking Sales experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- SAFE registration at the time of employment
- Compliance with LO qualification requirements under Regulation Z
- Ability to analyze financial data and match client needs with loan programs
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Knowledge of mortgage products, rates, underwriting requirements, and regulatory policies
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays as needed
