Job Summary
The Private Markets Analyst on the Finerty Team supports the evaluation, execution, and monitoring of private market investments across private equity, private real estate, private credit, and related strategies. Responsibilities include conducting manager and fund due diligence, building and maintaining financial models and analyses, preparing client reports and Investment Committee materials, analyzing fund structures and liquidity terms, researching market trends and peers, monitoring portfolio performance, interfacing with external managers and service providers, and contributing to platform development and data improvements. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 0–2 years of relevant experience, along with strong financial modeling skills, proficiency in Excel, familiarity with AI tools, and exposure to private markets; willingness to work in the United States is required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field
- 0–2 years of experience in private equity, investment banking, consulting, asset management, or a related field
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skills with proficiency in Excel
- Experience with advanced AI tools or demonstrated aptitude for developing this skill set
- Exposure to private equity, private credit, or alternative investments
- Experience with PitchBook, Preqin, Burgiss, or similar data platforms is preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
