Private Duty Nurse

Job Summary
Provide 1:1 in-home skilled nursing care per the provider's plan of care, supporting extended shifts and continuous care. Assess, monitor, and document patient condition including vitals, blood glucose, and respiratory status; administer medications and treatments with thorough documentation. Perform wound care, dressing changes, and specialized support for trach or ventilator needs as trained. Educate clients and families on routines and symptom monitoring while coordinating with the supervising RN and care team. Complete timely clinical notes and communicate shift handoff information to ensure continuity. This role offers consistent 1:1 private duty shifts with no overtime required and daily pay options. Candidates must hold a current LPN license, CPR/AED/BLS certification, and reliable transportation.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited practical (vocational) nursing program
- Current LPN/LVN license in the state(s) in which you practice
- Current CPR/AED/BLS/First Aid certification
- Reliable transportation to/from care sites and/or work locations
- Able to visually and aurally observe and assess the patient
- Able to provide proof of valid driver's license and auto liability insurance if assignments include driving own vehicle to transport patient
- Able to frequently lift, reposition, and transfer patients
- Medium physical activity may require occasional lifting, pushing, or pulling up to 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- One year of clinical experience preferred
- home care/private duty experience a plus
- Trach and/or ventilator experience preferred
