Job Summary
Private Duty Caregiver responsibilities include assisting clients with prescribed medications, aiding ambulation and mobility, personal care and hygiene, routine exercises, meal planning and preparation with client input, shopping assistance, light housekeeping, companionship, and quick, responsible action in emergencies. Opportunities for advanced training in dementia or Alzheimer’s care and a flexible shift schedule (long or short shifts) are provided to support caregivers serving seniors in the Webster Groves and surrounding areas.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Passion to serve others - a true caregiver
- Excellent knowledge of emergency response and first aid
- Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking with attention to dietary constraints
- Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards
- Respectful and compassionate
- Good time management skills
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong ethics
- Physical endurance
