Job Summary
Private Client Banker in Branch Banking responsible for managing a select group of Chase’s affluent clients and other customers by proactively growing their banking relationships. Responsibilities include advising clients on products and services that fit their financial needs, partnering with Specialists (Private Client Advisors, Mortgage Bankers, Business Relationship Managers) to connect clients with experts, enabling convenient access to accounts through self-service options, and ensuring compliance with banking regulations. Requires relationship-building, new client acquisition, and ongoing revenue generation, with flexibility to work weekends and some evenings. Strong communication, team orientation, and a long-term commitment to a career with the firm are preferred. Includes eligibility to pursue required licensing (SIE, FINRA 6/7, state licenses) and NMLS registration under SAFE Act for loan originator duties.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ year Branch Banking Banker or equivalent experience in financial services, with verifiable success in new client acquisition, cultivating, and maintaining customer relationships and revenue generation
- Beginning Oct. 1, 2018, if you are not currently registered, the Securities Industry Essential (SIE) exam, FINRA Series 6/7, state registration (including 63 or 66 if required) and Life licenses are required - or must be successfully completed within 180 days of starting the role
- Compliance with Dodd Frank/Truth in Lending Act
- High school degree, GED, or foreign equivalent
- Ability to work branch hours, including weekends and some evenings
- Note that any felony conviction within the last seven years will disqualify you from consideration for this position
- NMLS registration under SAFE Act of 2008 (requirement to register/update upon start)
- Uniform requirements and regulatory fitness for loan originator responsibilities
- Employment offer contingent on review of criminal history, credit report, NMLS record, and other information relevant to financial responsibility
