Job Summary
Private Client Banker in Puyallup, WA leads proactive relationship management for Chase's affluent clients within the Branch Banking team. Responsibilities include managing complete banking relationships, advising on products and services that best meet client needs, partnering with Private Client Advisors, Mortgage Bankers, and Business Relationship Managers to connect clients with specialists, enabling convenient self-service access, and ensuring compliance with policies and regulatory banking requirements. The role emphasizes education-based, advice-driven client interactions, growth through referrals, and a long-term, service-oriented approach to wealth-adaring banking relationships.
Required Qualifications
- High school degree, GED, or foreign equivalent
- 1+ year Branch Banking Banker or equivalent experience in financial services, with verifiable success in new client acquisition, cultivating, and maintaining customer relationships and revenue generation
- Beginning Oct. 1, 2018, if you are not currently registered, the Securities Industry Essential (SIE) exam, FINRA Series 6/7, state registration (including 63 or 66 if required) and Life licenses are required - or must be successfully completed within 180 days of starting the role
- Compliance with Dodd Frank/Truth in Lending Act*
- Adherence to policies, procedures, and regulatory banking requirements
- Ability to work branch hours, including weekends and some evenings
- Preferred qualifications include: Excellent communication skills, College degree or military equivalent, Experience cultivating relationships with affluent clients
- Dodd Frank/Truth in Lending Act requirements for Loan Originators, NMLS registration and SAFE Act compliance
