Job Summary
Private Client Banker in Edina, MN is the main point of contact for a select group of Chase’s affluent clients within Branch Banking. Responsibilities include actively managing client banking relationships through an advice-based approach, ensuring clients receive suitable products and services, partnering with Private Client Advisors, Mortgage Bankers, and Business Relationship Managers to connect clients to specialists, assisting clients in accessing self-service options 24/7, and complying with banking regulations. The role emphasizes growth in client balances, new client acquisition through referrals, and adherence to policies. Required qualifications include 1+ year of branch banking or equivalent financial services experience with success in acquiring and maintaining relationships, and licenses or successful completion of SIE, FINRA Series 6/7 (and possibly 63/66), plus Life licenses within 180 days; a high school degree or GED is required, with college degree preferred. Regulatory and licensing oversight includes Dodd-Frank/Truth in Lending Act, SAFE Act, and NMLS registration.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ year Branch Banking Banker or equivalent experience in financial services, with verifiable success in new client acquisition, cultivating, and maintaining customer relationships and revenue generation
- Beginning Oct. 1, 2018, if you are not currently registered, the Securities Industry Essential (SIE) exam, FINRA Series 6/7, state registration (including 63 or 66 if required) and Life licenses are required - or must be successfully completed within 180 days of starting the role
- High school degree, GED, or foreign equivalent
- Compliance with Dodd Frank/Truth in Lending Act*
- Adherence to policies, procedures, and regulatory banking requirements
- Ability to work branch hours, including weekends and some evenings
