Job Summary
Private Client Banker at Chase in Spartanburg, SC: the primary point of contact for a select group of Chase’s affluent clients within the Branch Banking channel. You will manage clients’ complete banking relationships using an advice-based approach, collaborate with Specialists (Private Client Advisors, Mortgage Bankers and Business Relationship Managers) to connect clients with experts, and help clients access self-service options around the clock. You will actively solicit referrals to acquire new clients, adhere to banking policies and regulatory requirements, and focus on growing client balances through relationship-building and revenue generation. The role requires experience in relationship-oriented client acquisition, regulatory awareness (Dodd-Frank/Truth in Lending Act), and licensing requirements (SIE, FINRA Series 6/7, life licenses) with a high school diploma or equivalent; a college degree or military equivalent is referenced in preferred qualifications. The position demands flexibility to work branch hours, weekends, and some evenings, and involves collaboration with internal teams to deliver tailored financial education and product recommendations to affluent clients.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ year Branch Banking Banker or equivalent experience in financial services with verifiable success in new client acquisition, cultivating, and maintaining customer relationships and revenue generation
- Securities Industry Essential (SIE) exam if not registered by Oct 1, 2018
- FINRA Series 6/7, state registration (including 63 or 66 if required)
- Life licenses (or must be successfully completed within 180 days of starting the role)
- Compliance with Dodd-Frank/Truth in Lending Act
- High school degree, GED, or foreign equivalent
- Ability to work branch hours, including weekends and some evenings
