Job Summary
Private Client Banker in Fredericksburg, VA serves as the main point of contact for Chase’s affluent clients within the Branch Banking team. You will manage the complete banking relationship using an advice-based approach, help acquire new clients through referrals, and collaborate with Specialists (Private Client Advisors, Mortgage Bankers, and Business Relationship Managers) to connect customers with experts for specialized financial needs. You’ll enable convenient access to self-service options and ensure compliance with banking regulations. The role requires working with qualifications and licenses including SIE, FINRA Series 6/7, and NMLS/SAFE Act, and adherence to Dodd-Frank/Truth in Lending Act; you may be subject to ongoing licensing reviews. Weekend and some evening hours are required. A college degree or military equivalent is a preferred qualification, and strong communication, relationship-building, and long-term career commitment with the firm are emphasized.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ year Branch Banking Banker or equivalent experience in financial services, with verifiable success in new client acquisition, cultivating, and maintaining customer relationships and revenue generation
- High school degree, GED, or foreign equivalent
- Securities Industry Essential (SIE) exam, FINRA Series 6/7, state registration (including 63 or 66 if required) and Life licenses required or must be completed within 180 days of starting
- Compliance with Dodd-Frank/Truth in Lending Act
- NMLS registration under the SAFE Act of 2008; ability to register or update registration after start date
- Ability to work branch hours, including weekends and some evenings
