Job Summary
Cook fresh, family-style meals 2-3 days per week, preparing breakfasts, lunches, dinners, and snacks including kids' school lunches. Set meals out on the kitchen island and create weekly menus with creative freedom, drawing from Asian, Southern, and classic American cuisines. Support occasional dinner parties with elevated menus while maintaining protein and vegetable-forward options for adults and kid-approved carbs for children. Complete work and depart before mealtime without table service. This role offers $60++ per hour for approximately 20 hours weekly with flexibility for events and travel. Candidates must have 5+ years of private chef experience, a clean background, and reside within a commutable distance to Houston, Texas.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience working as a Private Chef and/or in luxury hospitality settings
- Versatile cooking style across multiple cuisines, with genuine creativity and confidence in menu planning
- Comfortable receiving general preferences/feedback rather than detailed instructions, and enjoys the creative freedom that comes with it
- Trustworthy, reliable, and detail-oriented
- Clean, verifiable background
- Strong references
- Legally authorized to work in the US
- Within a commutable distance to Houston, Texas
- Willing to undergo an in-depth background check
- Provide strong employment references
