Job Summary
Prepare daily breakfast, lunch, and dinner for a family of two while developing seasonal menus that accommodate dietary preferences and allergies. Manage kitchen operations by planning weekly menus, sourcing premium local ingredients, maintaining inventory, and ensuring strict food safety compliance. Coordinate meal schedules with household staff and the family's travel itinerary, then accompany the family on international trips for 2 to 3 months annually, preparing meals in various accommodations. Maintain complete discretion regarding private affairs while working in a long-term, full-time role within a private household in Point Grey, Vancouver.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Private Chef, Executive Chef, Sous Chef, or in luxury hospitality, yachting, or fine dining
- Formal culinary education or recognized culinary certification
- Strong knowledge of international cuisine, healthy cooking, nutrition, and dietary accommodation
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- High level of discretion, professionalism, and confidentiality
- Ability to work independently and anticipate the family's needs
- Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays when required
- Valid passport with the ability to travel internationally
- Legally authorized to work in Canada
