Job Summary
Provide continuous supervision, safety monitoring, and hands-on assistance for a fully bedbound client, including activities of daily living, personal hygiene, incontinence care, and repositioning. Safely operate a Hoyer lift and perform approved transfers between the bed, wheelchair, and other areas. Prepare meals, offer fluids, and monitor intake while documenting all care tasks and reporting changes in condition immediately. Maintain a clean environment through laundry, light housekeeping, and supply organization. This awake overnight position requires strict adherence to an established care plan with no sleeping permitted during the 12-hour shift. Candidates must commit to recurring weekend availability, including Saturday, and provide verifiable employment history and professional references.
Required Qualifications
- Hoyer lift experience
- Previous hands-on Hoyer lift experience
- Comfortable safely following an established transfer plan and using approved transfer equipment
- Verifiable hands-on caregiving experience
- Experience providing care involving fully bedbound or significantly mobility-impaired clients
