Job Summary
Private Banking Officer of Credit provides a superior level of customer service and portfolio management in lending services for existing and potential clients. Responsibilities include technical credit analysis, underwriting, and portfolio monitoring; supporting new business proposals and client meetings; preparing account openings and documentation; identifying workflow improvements to boost efficiency; performing client sales and service activities to meet needs; ensuring timely completion of transactions within credit terms; handling inquiries and resolving issues per Bank policies; maintaining knowledge of integrated private banking services and lending procedures; collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to achieve business objectives; analyzing data to generate insights and recommendations; executing setup, maintenance, and advancement of lending products and related account administration; verifying loan drawdowns and security documentation; monitoring overdrafts, margin tests, and renewal/expiry Dates for security; ensuring compliance with risk and regulatory requirements; and contributing to risk management and overall profitability while supporting after-sales service and compliance as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Typically between 3 - 5 years of relevant experience
- post-secondary degree in related field or equivalent experience
- Working knowledge of personal and commercial credit and lending processes
- Verbal & written communication skills
- Organizational and collaboration skills
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
