Job Summary
Private Banker I sources and maintains relationships with high-net-worth clientele, delivering private banking credit and deposit solutions while partnering with a Senior Private Banker as assigned. Collaborates with wealth management, retail, commercial banking and other lines of business to provide financial solutions across the UMB footprint through an exclusive delivery model. Responsibilities include developing new business through calls on prospective and existing high-net-worth clients, maintaining industry knowledge of trends and products, executing proactive client contact via Salesforce, participating in community and industry activities, developing plans with the wealth team, cultivating COIs (realtors, attorneys, financial advisors, accountants), attending meetings and events, engaging clients through company-sponsored activities, and meeting individual/team performance and operational goals. Knowledge in mortgage and consumer lending, strong presentation and communication skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and ability to analyze client financial statements and tax returns are required. Preferred attributes include achievement orientation, customer orientation, emotional presence, impact, teamwork, and networking. Will travel within the assigned territory to functions, businesses, and client homes.
Required Qualifications
- College degree or 7 years of experience in direct financial sales
- 3 years of wealth management/banking experience in the financial services industry
- Possess valid drivers’ license and have independent transportation
- NMLS registration within 90 days
