Prior Authorization Specialist

The Prior Authorization Specialist is responsible for managing inbound calls from providers and assisting with the prior authorization process. Key duties include documenting approvals and denials, assisting physician groups with initiating prior authorizations, and following up with pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs). The specialist manages the workflow from inception to delivery, ensuring compliance with standards and regulations. The role requires communication with internal teams for timely resolution of cases and providing general administrative support. A high school diploma and a year of experience as a Registered Pharmacy Technician are required.
