Job Summary
Part-time Printshop Technician at MCAD provides technical, curricular, and administrative support to the Printshop and Paper Studio, assisting with equipment maintenance, fabrication of major studio projects, demonstrations of print and book processes, safety procedures and SDS updates, and training of student workers during open hours; collaborates across college departments to support initiatives and represents MCAD’s values.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in related field, required; Master’s degree, preferred.
- Two (2) years experience in advanced printmaking, papermaking, and bookmaking, required.
- Studio experience, training, or coursework in screen printing, intaglio, lithography, woodcut, photogravure, papermaking, print installation, print media, bookbinding, and letterpress, required.
- Advanced experience using tools and equipment in a woodshop to create, fix and maintain PPB studio equipment, required.
- Valid driver's license, required.
