Job Summary
Printing Press Operator operates and sets up the printing press to meet production goals, performs quality inspections, maintains equipment, and adheres to safety policies. Responsibilities include starting up and shutting down the press, handling materials with forklifts/pallet jacks/hoists, mounting/dismounting sleeves, proofing prints, supplying inks, tracking production data in the shop floor system, and ensuring clean, compliant work areas. Requires reading and following detailed production specifications, effective communication with team members, and ability to handle physical demands of a 12-hour shift. Prior experience in printing/ink handling and mechanical troubleshooting is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of two years of industrial experience preferred
- Experience in printing and ink handling preferred
- Mechanically inclined for set-up, operation, and troubleshooting preferred
- Ability to regularly lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds; ability to stand for long shifts
