Job Summary
Printing Press Assistant supports the Press Operator by assisting with make-readies and running jobs, loading raw materials, splicing, handling changesovers, monitoring web breaks, and labeling finished rolls. Responsibilities include monitoring roll changes, logging roll numbers, reporting equipment issues, following safety policies, assisting with quality investigations and root-ccause actions, and performing other duties to maximize press room efficiency. Requires HS Diploma or GED, at least one year of machine experience in a manufacturing setting, and willingness to work overtime; S.M.E.D. training is desired. The role involves working in a manufacturing environment with physical duties such as lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for long periods, with opportunities for growth toward operating a press on your own.
