Printing Prep Technician

Job Summary
Conduct daily printing prep by gathering materials, updating color atlases, and executing lithography approvals. Select and install plates, rollers, and cylinders per specification while reviewing work orders for ink, stock, and equipment needs. Maintain paint compliance with recipes, operate machines for form processing and paint mixing, and perform mechanical servicing and adjustments. Manage SAP queues for issuing and receiving materials, report errors to the graphics coordinator, and suspend faulty plates or defective paint. Keep daily time and material usage reports, ensure EAN code compliance, and maintain all entrusted equipment and safety protocols. Work nights on the D Crew, maintaining strict adherence to DPG regulations and Integrated Quality Management Systems.
Required Qualifications
- Good color vision/perception (primary and derivative colors, color tones)
- Ability to work to specifications
- Basic graphic knowledge
- Basic mechanic knowledge
- General operation and maintenance skills
- Sense of Sound - Ability to understand conversational speaking
- Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) - per safety guidelines
- Mobility to cover expansive manufacturing environment
- Ability to work in an environment that can become very hot (temperature) depending on the weather
