Job Summary
Coordinate the day-to-day activities of the printing team to ensure manufacturing operations run according to established production specifications, volume, cost, and quality targets. Lead the department by overseeing maintenance programs, managing resource expenditure within budget, and maintaining strict adherence to Quality, Health & Safety, and environmental policies. Achieve daily/weekly production targets through proactive machine efficiency, manual and electronic quality checks, and comprehensive team supervision including training, performance reviews, and disciplinary meetings. Monitor time and attendance records while ensuring full compliance with site documentation such as VWT, SFDC, and C Works. Cover Department Manager absences as needed and communicate professionally with stakeholders to keep Senior Managers updated on accurate departmental information.
Required Qualifications
- Experience of managing a team of direct reports
- Ability to project lead from start to finish
- Experience working in a busy print environment
- Experience working to high quality standards
- Attention to detail
- IT literate including high-level proficiency in Microsoft office suite particularly MS Word, Excel, Power Point and Teams
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers
- Ability to communicate verbally, in writing and through presentations
- Ability to overcome obstacles
- Ability to influence and inspire others
- Self-motivated
