Job Summary
The Print Tool Technician ensures efficient printing production by maintaining the availability of necessary tools and communicating with the production team to minimize downtime. Responsibilities include making flexographic/litho plates and rotary screens, conducting quality checks, maintaining tracking logs, and cleaning equipment. Candidates are required to have a high school diploma or GED, with a preference for further education related to printing. Strong communication skills and technical expertise in printing processes are essential.
Required Qualifications
- HS Diploma or GED is required; College degree strongly preferred, ideally related to the printing industry
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical information into actionable tasks
- Knowledge of color separations, press layouts, print specifications
- Proficiency in MS Office applications
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
- Self-starter with strong organizational and planning skills
- Requires physical ability to climb stairs, bend, sit, stand, walk, reach with arms, push, pull and use hands and fingers to feel and handle material for extended time frames
- Must have ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds repeatedly and regularly
Desired Qualifications
- Print manufacturing experience preferred
- Technical expertise in flexo, rotary screen and general printing processes
- Radius job management software experience is a plus
