Print Shop Manager

Job Summary
Lead print shop operations for large-format production, coordinating with onsite leadership to manage workflow, production teams, and client communications. Oversee scheduling, proof approvals, and shipping details; ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. Train staff on procedures and equipment; supervise maintenance/upgrades of large-format printers; manage inventory and materials; resolve customer issues professionally and support multiple departments. Strong emphasis on leadership, customer service, and understanding of grand-format workflows.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3–5+ years of experience in print production, large-format printing, or print shop operations
- Strong experience with grand-format and large-format printing workflows
- Demonstrated leadership ability with experience supervising production teams
- Strong customer service and client communication skills (phone, email, and in-person)
- Ability to clearly communicate production processes, job requirements, and technical instructions
- Strong understanding of print equipment, materials, and production capabilities
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven production environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle customer escalations professionally
