Job Summary
Print Shop Manager leads large-format production operations, supervises production teams, coordinates with shop leadership and clients on job specifications, proofs, and shipping details, ensures projects meet time and budget goals, trains staff on procedures and equipment, oversees maintenance and upgrades of large-format printing equipment, manages inventory and materials, and resolves customer escalations while supporting multiple departments and extended shifts.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical training preferred)
- 3–5+ years of experience in print production, large-format printing, or print shop operations
- Strong experience with grand-format and large-format printing workflows
- Demonstrated leadership ability with experience supervising production teams
- Strong customer service and client communication skills (phone, email, and in-person)
- Ability to clearly communicate production processes, job requirements, and technical instructions
- Strong understanding of print equipment, materials, and production capabilities
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven production environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle customer escalations professionally
