Job Summary
Follow and comply with applicable good manufacturing, safety, and quality assurance practices throughout the plant. Verify quality control items such as product weights, coding, and packaging while maintaining proper documentation in all record-keeping formats. Serve as relief or support staff to machine operators in the print and packaging department, assist with general cleaning and housekeeping as needed, and backfill to other positions or departments as assigned. Demonstrate the ability to read and comprehend standard operating procedures to maintain regulatory compliance and understand daily production needs.
Required Qualifications
- Attention to detail and good organizational skills
- Demonstrate an understanding of the products manufactured and the processes involved
- Ability to adapt effectively within a continually changing and demanding environment
- Basic understanding of equipment operations, and minor troubleshooting ability
- Must be able to demonstrate an ability and willingness to communicate effectively in order to maintain high levels of safety, quality, and efficiency
- Ability to read and comprehend standard operating procedures and company guidelines in order to maintain regulatory compliance
- Able to understand daily production needs
- Demonstrate the Qualified Individuals responsibilities for the Preventative Control - Cleaning and Sanitation Program
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
Desired Qualifications
- Food manufacturing, material handling, and forklift operation experience is preferred
