Job Summary
Operate striping/printing machines to apply colored stripes to wire and cable lengths; set up machine, presetting counter for correct stripe length; select proper striping or printing wheels and ink. Maintain proper ink thickness, stripe dimension and lay, check OD and stripe dimensions; input data into the BPCS system; perform visual checks with micrometer and ensure color durability. Detect and report defective materials or equipment, observe safety rules, and keep work areas clean. Targeted job training provided from day 1. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, work in a manufacturing environment, and be a dependable team player who pays attention to detail. OT after 8 hours/day or more than 40 hours per week.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Knowledge of ordinary arithmetic including decimals, fractions, and simple use of specification together with use of adjustable measuring instruments
- Be a team player, enjoy detailed work and willing to learn!
- Physical Qualifications: lifting up to 50 lbs., long periods of standing, continuous mental and visual attention to repetitive work
- Working conditions may expose employee to noise, fumes, dust, solvents, hot and cold temperatures
