Principle Engineer (Mechatronics)

Principle Engineer (Mechatronics) leads the development of mechatronic opening systems for vehicle latches and door-opening mechanisms, mentoring across mechanics, hardware electronics and basic software. Acts as technical expert for latches and door opening systems, supports development of complex mechatronic systems and problem-solving in production, drives certification work, collaborates with safety for testing requirements, and engages in system safety, cyber security and FMEAs to ensure high-quality, cost-efficient products. Strong collaboration, English proficiency, and experience in automotive mechatronics are required; Volvo Cars experience and a driving license (B) are considered valuable.
