Job Summary
Assistant Captain (front-of-house) supports the Captain in delivering polished dining service, including taking cocktails and dessert orders, entering them into the POS, delivering items promptly, and communicating with guests. Develops professionalism and adherence to refined service standards; role serves as a developmental path toward Captain. Responsibilities include greeting guests, explaining menu items, handling beverage and food orders, verifying accuracy and presentation, monitoring tables, resolving guest concerns with the Captain, processing guest checks per restaurant procedures, and supporting station readiness. Requires prior serving experience, knowledge of food and beverage service standards, POS operation, ability to take orders confidently, strong communication, attention to detail, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and relevant licenses/certifications as applicable. Education: high school diploma or equivalent preferred. CPR/First Aid certification preferred. Reports to the Restaurant General Manager and interacts with Captains, Servers, Bartenders, Culinary, and Management. Location: Boca Raton, FL. In-person role within a hospitality team focused on guest satisfaction and professional development.
Required Qualifications
- Prior restaurant service experience required

- Ability to operate POS systems and process guest checks accurately
- Ability to take cocktail and dessert orders confidently and professionally
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- CPR and/or First Aid certification preferred
