Job Summary
Provide IT systems administration in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows and Redhat Enterprise Linux environment, acting as the lead for all storage appliances across classified networks. Collaborate with cybersecurity professionals to maintain security requirements, develop solutions for complex technical issues, and create documentation and training on advanced IT processes. Troubleshoot hardware and OS integration challenges while ensuring compliance with DoD directives and NISPOM standards. Maintain backup systems using tools like Veritas Netbackup and Veeam, and support virtualization environments. This role requires a Top Secret clearance and 5+ years of experience within the aerospace and defense sector at RTX.
Required Qualifications
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance
- U.S. citizenship
- Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience
- Master's degree and minimum of 3 years of prior relevant experience
- Experience with administering, maintaining and troubleshooting storage appliances specifically NetApp
- Experience with iscsi, NAS and SAN solutions
- Experience with administering backups (with Veritas Netbackup, BackupExec, Veeam or closely related software)
- Experience with VmWare Virtualization such as VDS
- Experience with cyber hardening
- Experience with Microsoft Windows administration
- CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification
- Operating System Certification
- Ability to obtain 3 months
- Full time 100% Onsite position
- Direct working experience with NISPOM, JAFAN, JSIG, DFARS and/or DoD/RMF
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with integration and supporting an email platform such as Exchange or SmarterMail
- Configuration and support of Fabric Cisco or Brocade Switches
- Linux expertise
- Familiarity with Splunk, Nessus, Symantec, SCCM
- Experienced mentoring individuals and teams
- Creating Visio Diagrams to reflect system and network overview/topology
- Self-starter, take on various projects at once, and be comfortable with a fast-paced environment
