Job Summary
Serve as the administrative and instructional leader of the Windham School District campus and supervise operations and personnel at campus level. Provide leadership to ensure high standards of instructional service, oversee compliance with district policies, success of instructional programs, and operation of all campus activities. Responsibilities include managing budgets and personnel, coordinating curriculum development and evaluation, utilizing information systems and records for student placement and performance, ensuring non-discrimination, promoting a positive school climate for incarcerated students, and collaborating with TDCJ, TEA, and contracted colleges/universities. Duties also cover interviewing staff, assigning personnel, maintaining safety and security, and supporting ongoing staff development to reach instructional objectives. Must be capable of working remotely as required and adhere to applicable district and state policies; supervise all academic, vocational, special education, college, grant, paraprofessional, and state employees assigned to or visiting the school.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree from an accredited college or university (CHEA/USDE)
- SBEC Mid-Management/Administrator/Principal Certificate or eligible for probationary certification
- Three years of successful classroom teaching experience
- Windham School District teaching experience preferred
- Must have personal technology to enable remote work
