Job Summary
Principal UX Designer on the Monopoly Go! team, available in a hybrid Culver City (CA) studio or remote in the United States or Canada. You will lead hands-on UX design for new mini-game experiences, drive discovery to understand player preferences, facilitate ideation and prototyping, push innovative concepts while maintaining UX consistency with design guidelines, champion user testing with the research team, and deliver clear design requirements to the Art and Engineering teams. The role emphasizes ownership of the working group’s results, cross-domain problem-solving, collaboration, and alignment with the product vision. Salary is provided for CA, CO, NJ, NY, and WA with potential equity/bonuses and benefits; base pay range is $169,600–$253,000 USD.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of games UX design experience
- Proven track record of creating impactful social gameplay features with deep expertise in game mechanics, player motivations, rewards, and framing
- Expertise in developing innovative features with the ability to tailor processes according to project complexity and novelty
- Experience prototyping to test and refine gameplay, with ability to identify what to prototype and a fail-fast mindset
- Ability to move between solving immediate design challenges and higher-level design principles
- Highly collaborative designer and expert communicator who proactively shares ideas, seeks feedback, and drives iterative processes toward consensus on design solutions
