Principal Turbomachinery Engineer

Principal Turbomachinery Engineer sought to serve as the senior technical authority for propulsion turbomachinery. You will set the technical direction, own system-level architecture, and build the team and processes to transition concept through production-intent hardware. Responsibilities include defining architecture and performance targets, leading cross-functional trades across the engine cycle, establishing analysis standards (CFD/FEA/rotordynamics), ensuring producibility with manufacturing collaboration, defining test campaigns and root-cause investigations, and mentoring engineers while representing turbomachinery in external forums. Candidates should have a deep breadth across aerodynamics, structures, heat transfer, rotordynamics, and performance, with a record of leading engineering efforts, producing production-scale results, and demonstrating ownership from concept to fielded hardware. ITAR-controlled work requires U.S. Person status. Preferred candidates may have production-scale experience, startup/autonomy experience, Ph.D. in turbomachinery, and experience engaging with customers or government program managers.
