Principal Transport Modeller

Job Summary
Lead and manage the delivery of complex transport modelling and planning projects to the highest technical standards in the UAE region; provide technical leadership, mentorship, and stakeholder-facing insights; oversee project scope, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation; act as a key client interface with senior stakeholders. The role requires a Master's-equivalent degree in a related field, 12–15+ years of post-graduate experience in transport modelling and traffic engineering, and advanced knowledge of tools such as VISUM, Cube Voyager, EMME, VISSIM, GIS, Python/VB, with strong reporting, documentation, and communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Transport Planning, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred)
- 12–15+ years post-graduate experience in transport modelling and traffic engineering
- Experience on large-scale projects in the UAE or the Middle East
- Expertise in VISUM, Cube Voyager, or EMME
- Understanding of transport modelling principles, TOD, and urban planning policies
- Experience across modelling project stages (development, calibration, validation, forecasting)
- Experience in traffic impact assessments, junction modelling, and network analysis
- Proficiency in programming (Python, VB) and data analysis
- Excellent English communication skills
- Desirable: UAE-based experience, ABM, microsimulation tools (VISSIM, SYNCHRO, SIDRA, HCM), GIS, advanced Excel modelling
- Arabic language skills are an advantage
- Experience supporting master planning and large-scale land-use developments
