Job Summary
Principal Test & Evaluation Engineer to join the Melbourne, FL on-site team, responsible for integrating, deploying, and enhancing 5G systems (O-RAN based) and cloud architectures (Azure, AWS) for advanced research and design; will develop, modify, and maintain software and test/integration tooling, provide technical solutions to complex problems, and drive milestones with a multi-disciplinary team. Requires hands-on scripting (Python) in Linux/Windows, experience with microservices architectures, Kubernetes, MBSE techniques, AI/ML model integration, and experience with on-premise and cloud infrastructure. The role involves a 9/80 work schedule option, travel up to 25% domestically, and collaborates closely with software leads to follow roadmaps and deliver expandable, tested solutions. Primary salary range: $89,400 – $134,200; relocation assistance may be available; U.S. citizenship and security clearances (Secret or higher) required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in STEM OR Master of Science in STEM OR STEM Ph.D.
- Active US Government Secret clearance (or higher)
- Ability to obtain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance
- Experience with virtualization or containerization
- Experience with on-premise and cloud infrastructure
- Willingness to travel up to 25% of time
- Experience with Agile software development process
