Job Summary
Principal Technology Engineer responsible for providing advanced technical leadership in chemical/petrochemical technology within Axens Americas ROC. Builds and communicates technical projections for catalyst replacements and new solutions, leads development and follow-up of technical proposals and studies for client evaluations, supports Commercial teams with commercial proposals, mentors engineers, drives best practices and innovation, and ensures quality and safety standards across projects. Engages with clients through complex technical discussions, supports startup and commissioning activities, and leverages Axens ConnectInTM remote monitoring to optimize operations. Collaborates across Axens teams to keep technology tools and processes up-to-date, promotes Axens solutions at conferences and meetings, provides training, and contributes to KPI and ISO quality initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- BS, MS, or PhD degree in Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or relevant discipline required
- Ten or more (10+) years of experience in the petrochemical and/or refining industry and least 5 years in a Technology Engineer role
- Expertise in chemical engineering fundamentals including reaction engineering, catalyst and general chemistry required
- Experience with PRO/II simulation software (or similar) and Excel-based modelling tools required
- Strong experience in basic process design, project engineering and/or economics
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and build relationships
- QHSE requirements and ISO standards experience
