Job Summary
Senior Principal Technical Service Engineer role focused on delivering advanced technical support to chemical-industry customers, with emphasis on ammonia, methanol, and hydrogen plants. Responsibilities include catalyst calculations and technical quotations, plant and catalyst performance evaluations, startup/troubleshooting support, and collaboration with Account Managers to identify opportunities for catalysts, proprietary hardware, and plant revamps. Will deliver technical presentations and training, visit customer sites, and maintain technical/commercial databases while building strong customer relationships. Requires deep technical expertise, strong communication, and willingness to travel in an international environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in Chemical Engineering from a recognized university or institute
- Solid knowledge of chemical process technologies and catalysts
- Minimum 20 years of relevant professional experience in technical service, plant operations and plant design
- Experience in customer-facing technical support or technical sales support roles
- Willingness to travel for customer visits, site support, and technical discussions
- Experience with ammonia, methanol, and hydrogen plants
